Frame & Film
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Frame & Film is a local-first photo editor. This policy explains what the app accesses, stores, and shares.
Photos and Live Photos
With your permission, the app reads the photos and Live Photos you make available through Apple’s Photos framework. It creates edited copies in your Photos library only when you choose Save Copy. Your original asset is not changed, and Cognerva does not upload your photos, videos, or audio.
Optional look metadata
Look Garage can request recipe metadata from Cognerva’s public catalogue. That request contains catalogue information only; your photo content and edits are not sent. Imported LUT files and their attribution metadata remain on your device.
Local app data
Favorites, presets, imported styles, and catalog settings are stored locally by the app. They are not sent to Cognerva. If you delete the app, iOS removes this app-local data; photos saved to your Photos library remain under your control.
Purchases
Frame & Film Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Cognerva does not receive your payment card details. The app uses Apple’s purchase state to unlock the lifetime feature set and provides Restore Purchase.
Tracking and accounts
Frame & Film does not require an account and is designed without advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs.
